295 Days Old…March 28, 2012

My sweet boys in their Southern Miss outfits before school. Aren’t they cute?!?

Anderson is doing so much better. He’s back to eating his regular food again, taking 6 ounce bottles and loving his snacks. We’re not 100% yet on his sleep schedule, but he’s actually in his crib for most of the night again.

Keep Anderson in your prayers that he stays healthy. We need a break!! That’s it for today. Y’all take care!

290 Days Old…March 23, 2012

Anderson is doing much better, thank goodness! He is finally on the mend from the RSV and his hand, foot and mouth looks much better. It’s been rough, and the kiddo is spoiled rotten right now, but we seem to be emerging on the down side of things now.  He is refusing to sleep in his bed again which has been hard, but we’re going to give him a few more days before we break him of his newfound sleeping habits.

Anderson has cut a new tooth, right next to his first tooth on the bottom. He seems slow to cut teeth, but this kiddo is loving trying new foods, even though he gives us the funniest faces!

I guess that’s it for today. We’ll be back in 5 more days!

285 Days Old…March 18, 2012

hosp2

Here we are, 5 days after our last post, and we’ve been in the hospital since Friday. Anderson has the first case of RSV and hand, foot and mouth disease together that the pediatricians in our practice have seen. He has been one sick little kiddo! He is no longer on oxygen, but he is about to have another iv put in because his came out this morning. We had hoped that he wouldn’t need it, but he still is not eating or drinking, and after his last ordeal, we are super cautious about him getting dehydrated. At least his oxygen levels are doing good now; I’ll take any good news we can get right now. It’s been a very rough few days, but we are cautiously optimistic that he will be released tomorrow. Please keep Anderson in your prayers…

280 Days Old…March 13, 2012

Poor Anderson has had a rough day; he was diagnosed this morning with RSV and hand, foot and  mouth disease. RSV was going through his day care class like wildfire and we had our suspicions last night when he began running a fever after his bath.

I think he’s on the downside of everything since he had had a cold already for several days, and that possibly was RSV and we didn’t even know it. Anderson wasn’t given any prescription medicine, and we just have to alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen for the next few days since hand, foot and mouth can be very painful.

Please say a prayer for our little guy that he’s feeling better soon. While you’re at it, throw a prayer in for his Mama and Daddy too; it’s crazy around our house right now!

We’ll be back in 5 more days!

I finally caught a smile with Anderson on camera! I tricked him into laughing for me and pulled out the camera fast enough that he didn’t have time to react. I’m learning new tricks too! This picture just captures exactly who Anderson is, and I’m so in love with his sweet little smirk!

On the sleep front Anderson must have caught wind that I was talking bad about his sleep habits yesterday because he slept from 9-5 last night! We were thrilled and pray that he’ll offer up a repeat performance tonight.

We went to Cici’s pizza tonight for a fundraiser for Jackson’s school and Anderson thoroughly enjoyed taking very small bites of a cinnamon roll. He thought it was delicious and I was super excited that he wasn’t gagging with the texture. I plan to just keep offering him small bits of regular food until he can move up to stage 3 baby food. He loves baby food, just not anything with texture or substance to it. Hopefully that’s changing for our little monkey.

I guess that’s it for today. We’ll be back in 5 more days. Y’all take care!

9 Months Old!!!

   100_0299        100_0304100_0313100_0326

Anderson is 9 months old today! We had a gorgeous afternoon after work and we enjoyed spending a little time outside. Anderson was hamming it up until he spotted the camera and then he went into his serious mode as usual!

At 9 months old Anderson is getting into everything! He’s crawling, pulling up, walking with support and getting very brave with his walk behind toys. We still haven’t gotten a first word yet, but I don’t doubt that it will be soon. Anderson loves to laugh at us, especially when we fake sneeze, and he thinks that Jackson is the funniest person around.

We’re not doing great in the sleep department with Anderson because he still thinks that he should be getting a bottle around 3-4 in the morning. I know it’s become a habit for him, and I only hope we’ll break him of this soon because it’s killing me!

Anderson has 1 tooth right now, and he’s drooling like a faucet all the time! He is taking 6-7 ounce bottles every 4 hours, eating 4-5 jars of baby food a day and sometimes enjoys eating puffs. When we offer him real food he gets very insulted with us and makes the funniest faces ever!

He has his doctor’s visit on Friday, and I’ll post his stats after that. I’ll be back tomorrow with our regularly scheduled 5 days post!

270 Days Old…March 3, 2012

a1

Anderson got to enjoy his cousin Luke’s 2nd birthday party today. We all had a lot of fun, but Anderson especially enjoyed playing with Luke’s toys and eating his foam puzzle pieces! He got a little taste of icing and he wasn’t too impressed!

Anderson has done great since getting his tubes in last Wednesday. His balance is so much better and he’s vocalizing much more than he had been. I think he’s finally able to hear everything around him without it sounding muddled. Maybe soon we’ll finally get to hear him talk!

We’ll be back on the 7th with his 9 month candid shots. Take care!
