This little man of ours was such a big boy and sat in Santa's lap when we saw him at Bass Pro Shop tonight. He wasn't thrilled by being plopped into the big guy's lap, but he didn't cry or squirm away. He didn't say anything to him, but I'm calling it a success!!!

This little monkey of ours is obsessed with "My Mouse" and found the app on our iPad. He insists that he watches it all the time. Cute for a minute, but we only have the free version, so we watch the same appisode over and over and over. I'm a little tired of the Road Rally episode, but who can say "no" to this cutie pie!

Anderson is LOVING having a Christmas tree in his bedroom. He is so proud of himself for plugging it in all the time, and turning it off when we leave the house. Check out that cheesy grin!

We went to a birthday party today at Pump it Up and little man had a blast! He was climbing the inflatables like a pro, and even when down the gigantic slide by himself twice. If he sees Jackson do something, then you know him, this little monkey do of ours has got to try it too. Love this little man of mine so much!

This little stinker of ours is finally starting to talk! He's doing so great in speech therapy, and for the first time it really feels like he is starting to make progress. He can now say, "bus", "My Mouse" (Mickey Mouse), "Aubie" and "War Eagle". I'm so proud of our little man!

I confess....this is the face Anderson made when I told him that I had been remiss in keeping up with this blog for the last 3 updates. Not really, but he was super pouty tonight, so the picture matches my confession. With the new job, I knew I was forgetting something, but I'm going to blame Outlook for not reminding me to take the pictures. Bathtime with this cutie pie has gotten so much fun. He's into everything right now, and the bathtub is overflowing with toys, just like his big brother does. I'm so blessed with two sweet little boys, and I wouldn't trade them for a million dollars!

This little stinker is obsessed with brushing his teeth, with NO help! Of course, Mama and Daddy have to go behind him to check. After we give him the go ahead, he leans over the counter and "spits" just like Jackson does and then goes over to a towel to wipe his mouth. He's such a sweet little stinker! I could eat him up!

Anderson LOVES to play the "One, Two, Three, Jump!" game and when you get him up on the counter and tell him to get ready, he puts his hands on his hips, takes a big deep breath and then jumps. It's so funny. Half the time he jumps on 2, but we're trying to get him straight before one of us misses him during his jumping attempt!

Mr. Personality strikes again! This little man of ours is such a mess! He's found out how much he loves to wear hats, and it's all you can do to pry them off his head when he gets ahold of one. This little monkey managed to give his Daddy a black eye less than 15 minutes after I left for my beach trip for work. They were playing the "jump to me on 3" game, and Anderson jumped on 2. Whoops! Jeremy was sporting a nice shiner to work, and he had no one to blame but this adorable 2 year old!

Anderson had a blast today at Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. Our little guy has been a trooper during the trip, and he's done amazingly well. He's loved seeing the characters, but he doesn't want to be near them. So cute! Can't wait to post all the pictures!

This little stinker has decided his big enough to play with Jackson's lego sets. Unfortunately for Jackson, about 3 seconds after this picture was taken Anderson dropped Jackson's lego truck on the kitchen floor and it broke apart. Anderson's comment, "Uh-oh!"

Luckily, all ended well and the lego truck was put back together, and then promptly put out of reach of Captain Destructo!

The boys have bunk beds now! Anderson has moved from his toddler bed to the bottom bunk and he loves his new sleeping digs. It will be interesting to see how he does, and whether or not he stays in bed, but I think it's going to be a good thing. Fun for sure!

I'm sorry for the quality of today's picture. This is what I get with the 2 year old in our house: constant motion!!!! He refused to stand still and decided instead to run back and forth in front of the camera as fast as he could. One his fourth run past me, I snapped the pic. Enjoy!

A certain little man has figured out how to take his picture on the iPad. He hasn't quite mastered the whole, "say cheese" thing AS he takes the picture, but he usually smiles really big and then pushes the picture button. I have about 15 of these shots from this morning! Between the camera and Larry the Talking Bird, Anderson definitely thinks the iPad is his favorite new toy!

Pull out a camera now, or in this case the iPad, and Anderson is posing like a champ. This was his pose of choice this morning before school. I think it's his "vogue" pose! Standing perfectly still, hand sweetly touching cheek and foot stuck out. What a cutie pie! An absolute little stinker, but a cutie pie for sure!

This little monkey of ours is drinking out of a cup like a big boy now! Funny thing is, about 2.5 seconds after I took this picture this morning he turned the cup of water upside down and it poured all over the counter and the floor! Blame Mommy for that one for putting too much water in the cup!

Anderson spent today hanging out at Papa and Gigi's house in Mississippi where he LOVED being driven around the yard on Jackson's four wheeler. Don't worry...they went really slow! It won't be long before Anderson will be ready to drive himself!

Our little water bug is loving his swim time at the YMCA. The zero entry pool is the best thing ever, and Anderson was laying down in the pool like it was his own personal bathtub! This little cutie pie goes to the doctor tomorrow for his 2 year check up, so I'll report back statistics after we get his final report. See y'all in 5 more days!

Anderson likes to "help" with his snack preparation. Tonight he "helped" Daddy cut up his evening snack of strawberries. And in case you are wondering, the new definition of "help" means to stand under your feet and cry until he gets his snack in hand. Gotta love 2 year olds!

Anderson's newest cousin, Tillie, was dedicated at church this past Sunday morning. He looks thrilled, right?!? Anderson has been doing so good with his talking lately, and he is learning so many new words. I'm so proud of  my little guy for finally speaking up!

I've got 2 little boys that are loving Vacation Bible School this year! Anderson's shirt looks like a dress on him, so I have to ponytail it up in the back, but he's hanging in like a trooper from 5:30 until 8:40 at night. Granted, he doesn't want to get up the next day, but it's only a week, right? Right?

Our sweet little man turns 2 years old tomorrow! Jeremy got today's picture of our big boy playing on the swing set tonight. I can't believe that tomorrow is Anderson's birthday. Where in the world have 2 years gone? We are taking cupcakes to school with Anderson tomorrow and then celebrating as a family tomorrow night. Stay tuned for pictures!

Anderson's 2nd birthday party was today and he had the best day ever! Our little man had so many friends and family come out to celebrate his big day, and topped off with cake and ice cream, he had a blast. I can't believe Anderson is almost 2! Anderson got into Nana and Tata's pool for the first time this swimming season today. He wasn't a big fan of the cold water, but if he stayed in my arms he was fairly content. He did like jumping into my arms from the side of the pool, and I think given a few more weeks in the water he will become a water bug like Jackson. That's all for Memorial Day! This little cutie pie has learned to say "thank you!" In Andersonese it comes out as "day ooohh" but we'll take it! We know what he means! In true Anderson fashion he won't do it on command, unless he's just feeling particulary sweet at that moment, but if I bribe him with something good, like candy, I can usually get it out of him.

So super blessed to be the Mama to these amazing little gifts from God! They keep me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade them for anything! I'm lucky beyond belief! Happy Mother's Day, y'all!

23 Months Old!

 

 

 

Look who's 23 months old already! I took the boys to the zoo and got these pictures, and Anderson has mastered his "cheese" face! He even took the opportunity to pose for me every time I asked him. What a cutie pie!

 

At 23 months old Anderson is eating everything we put in front of him, unlike his big brother! He doesn't eat a lot of food, but he's up for trying whatever is available to him. Anderson is sleeping like a champ in  his toddler bed, usually going to bed around 7:30 or 8, and sleeping all night long. He hasn't attempted to climb out of his bed at all, which makes this Mama super happy!

 

We haven't progressed much in the speech department over the last few months. Anderson's vocabulary consists of 8 words: Mama, Dada, Bubba, Jack, Nana, Tata, Papa, and no. He should begin receiving biweekly therapy after he turns 2, so I'm hoping to see major changes. Cognitively, the kid is so advanced. He is smart beyond belief, it's just like he has no interest in talking. Gives me gray hairs, but it doesn't seem to bother him in the least.

 

Anderson's birthday party planning is in full mode. We reserved the play center at the YMCA and his party theme is frogs. I have his invitations and party outfit on order through Etsy, and hopefully can get everything crossed off my party list soon.
