540 Days Old...November 28, 2012

We found out today that Anderson's chronic ear drainage has another term...MRSA. That's right, our toddler has medically resistant staph. Good thing for us his drainage had already been halted by a round of antibiotics that he had been on since Saturday, but we've been prescribed the big guns to make sure the infection is gone. We've already made the requisite calls to the ENT and our pediatrician to make sure that the MRSA is documented in his chart. So far, it looks like he's not contagious since his ear isn't draining. If it does start to drain, we have to treat any thing that touches his drainage (like a Q-tip) as bio hazard, and he has to be considered contagious. Sounds fun, right?

As bad as it sounded when the nurse called back with the culture results, I'm just glad we are getting it treated. MRSA is nothing to play around with, and with it being in his head, I definitely want to make sure it is GONE.

That's all for today. Y'all take care!

535 Days Old...November 23, 2012

We spent Thanksgiving at the beach this year with Jeremy's family, and this was our "5 days" shot for Anderson. The little stinker loved looking at the water, and even reaching down and touching it, but you better not dare let his tootsies hit the sand. He hated it!! Obviously not much has changed since his first trip to the beach in May!

See y'all in 5 more days!

530 Days Old...November 18, 2012

Today was a busy day for Anderson. We had church this morning, family over for lunch, quick nap, family photo shoot for Christmas (during which time Anderson pitched a fit for the entire session) and then our church Thanksgiving fellowship. Whew...

Did I mention that Anderson cried for practically the entire photo shoot? Cause he did. He was not a happy camper, but hopefully we will get something cute. If not, I'll have something to laugh at in 20 years when we are reminiscing about the good old days!

We're heading to the beach for a few days for Thankgiving, and I can't wait to see my boys playing in the sand, this time with their cousin, Cameron. Should be fun!

525 Days Old...November 13, 2012

For those that asked, this is a picture of our adorable little man in his footed pajames. Isn't he cute? Jeremy got this picture this morning when Anderson was outraged that I had closed the bathroom door and locked him out. How dare I?!? He thinks that a closed door is the worst thing ever. Poor pititful little man!! Lucky for me he quickly forgave me when I opened the door and let him in. Love this little man of mine, even when he's pitching a fit!

See y'all in 5 more days!

520 Days Old...November 8, 2012

This little monkey has decided that the most fun game ever is to run away when it is bathtime. He grabbed his pajamas and he was on the move as soon as he heard the bath water running. What a funny little man! We've switched him to footed pajamas and he loves them. I love how cute he looks in them!

See y'all in 5 more days!

17 Months Old

Our big boy is 17 months old!!! Anderson has been doing really good lately. He's only had a minor cold, but nothing major, and he's soaking up the world like a sponge. I'm amazed at how sweet our boy is, and how much he loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses. No doubt, I'm raising a ladies man!

Anderson still isn't talking other than saying "bye." He is now down to 1 month to get his language skills moving before we are heading for early intervention. He definitely understands what we are saying, he's just stubborn as a mule when it comes to actually speaking. He speaks caveman by pointing and grunting!

At 17 months old, Anderson is very adventurous. He's a climber and more than once we've found him standing on top of the kitchen table. He has figured out how to push the kitchen chairs around, and I caught him pushing it over to the kitchen counter the other day. He's such a mess! If he sees Jackson doing something, he has to give it a try, and more often than not this doesn't end up well for Anderson!

I'm loving this age with Anderson. He's such a sweet kid, and we have been so blessed by him. Can't wait to see what the next month holds!

515 Days Old...November 3, 2012

Jeremy, Jackson and I spent the day at the Auburn Homecoming game, so Anderson had a spend-the-night at Nana's house and enjoyed hanging out with his cousin Luke on Saturday. Those two are a mess together!! What one kid has, the other kid wants!

Thanks Nana and Tata for watching our little man!
