570 Days Old...December 28, 2012

Anderson LOVES his Santa gift. He got a slide and he's played with it constantly since then. We have it in our living room right now because it's so cold outside, so both boys have had a blast. Check out that sweet little smile!

Anderson starts speech therapy in January. His therapist will come to daycare every 2 weeks and work with him using play therapy. We are so excited about this, and can't wait to see how much he progresses in the next few months. That's all for now. Y'all take care!

565 Days Old...December 23, 2012

Getting "good-bye" hugs from Cameron before we left Mississippi today from our Christmas trip to see Jeremy's family. Cameron and Anderson are only a few months apart, and they get along just swimmingly. Love cousin time!!!

560 Days Old...December 18, 2012

No, we definitely don't have an 18 month old child that is still attached to his bottle. Why do you ask?!?

All kidding aside, Anderson is super attached to his bottle, but we only let him have it in the mornings and before bed. All other times he is using a sippy cup. And no, we didn't tell the pediatrician or the dentist that he still uses a bottle. Who needs that kind of judgement?

See y'all in 5 more days!

555 Days Old...December 13, 2012

Anderson enjoyed dinner at Ryan's tonight before his favorite part of the day...bath time! When we snapped this pic he had already turned the water on in the tub and was pulling at his jeans to get them off! That little stinker of ours loves to take a bath, especially when the water is running.

Our big boy goes to the doctor on Monday for his 18 month checkup, so we'll keep you posted on what the doctor says about his speech therapy. Say a prayer that we will have good news in this regard. Y'all  have a great weekend!

550 Days Old...December 8, 2012

We started a new Wade family tradition today and we went to a Christmas tree farm in Wetumpka to cut down a tree. Anderson had a blast! This is Jackson and Anderson in front of our tree, and both boys thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Christmas tree farm. I had a great time, except for trying to keep Anderson out of the fire ant beds! Anderson loves our Christmas tree, and it's practically a full time job keeping his hands off it!

18 Months Old

Okay big boy, we are now 6 months away from your next birthday!!! You are such a sweetheart, and I'm smitten like a kitten with how cute and lovable you are! You give hugs and kisses like a little romeo, and you can pout and pitch a fit like a little devil!

You will have your 18 month check up with the doctor next week, but I've already made a call to Early Intervention to get you evaluated by a speech therapist. You still aren't talking, and we just feel like it's time to get you checked out. You have another ear infection right now, but you seem like you are feeling fine.

At 18 months old you adore your big brother, and want to try to do everything that he is doing, but you can't stand it when he is getting "your" attention. You are the baby of the family for sure! We have loved having you as part of our family, and we've adored watching you grow into the sweet boy you are. Love you always!!!

545 Days Old...December 3, 2012

Today is Nana's birthday! Anderson celebrated with us at Nana's party at KK and Jason's house, and he found the coolest vaccum cleaner to play with in Luke's room. Gotta love a man that loves to clean!

540 Days Old...November 28, 2012

We found out today that Anderson's chronic ear drainage has another term...MRSA. That's right, our toddler has medically resistant staph. Good thing for us his drainage had already been halted by a round of antibiotics that he had been on since Saturday, but we've been prescribed the big guns to make sure the infection is gone. We've already made the requisite calls to the ENT and our pediatrician to make sure that the MRSA is documented in his chart. So far, it looks like he's not contagious since his ear isn't draining. If it does start to drain, we have to treat any thing that touches his drainage (like a Q-tip) as bio hazard, and he has to be considered contagious. Sounds fun, right?

As bad as it sounded when the nurse called back with the culture results, I'm just glad we are getting it treated. MRSA is nothing to play around with, and with it being in his head, I definitely want to make sure it is GONE.

That's all for today. Y'all take care!

535 Days Old...November 23, 2012

We spent Thanksgiving at the beach this year with Jeremy's family, and this was our "5 days" shot for Anderson. The little stinker loved looking at the water, and even reaching down and touching it, but you better not dare let his tootsies hit the sand. He hated it!! Obviously not much has changed since his first trip to the beach in May!

See y'all in 5 more days!

530 Days Old...November 18, 2012

Today was a busy day for Anderson. We had church this morning, family over for lunch, quick nap, family photo shoot for Christmas (during which time Anderson pitched a fit for the entire session) and then our church Thanksgiving fellowship. Whew...

Did I mention that Anderson cried for practically the entire photo shoot? Cause he did. He was not a happy camper, but hopefully we will get something cute. If not, I'll have something to laugh at in 20 years when we are reminiscing about the good old days!

We're heading to the beach for a few days for Thankgiving, and I can't wait to see my boys playing in the sand, this time with their cousin, Cameron. Should be fun!

See y'all in 5 more days!

525 Days Old...November 13, 2012

For those that asked, this is a picture of our adorable little man in his footed pajames. Isn't he cute? Jeremy got this picture this morning when Anderson was outraged that I had closed the bathroom door and locked him out. How dare I?!? He thinks that a closed door is the worst thing ever. Poor pititful little man!! Lucky for me he quickly forgave me when I opened the door and let him in. Love this little man of mine, even when he's pitching a fit!

See y'all in 5 more days!

520 Days Old...November 8, 2012

This little monkey has decided that the most fun game ever is to run away when it is bathtime. He grabbed his pajamas and he was on the move as soon as he heard the bath water running. What a funny little man! We've switched him to footed pajamas and he loves them. I love how cute he looks in them!

See y'all in 5 more days!

17 Months Old

Our big boy is 17 months old!!! Anderson has been doing really good lately. He's only had a minor cold, but nothing major, and he's soaking up the world like a sponge. I'm amazed at how sweet our boy is, and how much he loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses. No doubt, I'm raising a ladies man!

Anderson still isn't talking other than saying "bye." He is now down to 1 month to get his language skills moving before we are heading for early intervention. He definitely understands what we are saying, he's just stubborn as a mule when it comes to actually speaking. He speaks caveman by pointing and grunting!

At 17 months old, Anderson is very adventurous. He's a climber and more than once we've found him standing on top of the kitchen table. He has figured out how to push the kitchen chairs around, and I caught him pushing it over to the kitchen counter the other day. He's such a mess! If he sees Jackson doing something, he has to give it a try, and more often than not this doesn't end up well for Anderson!

I'm loving this age with Anderson. He's such a sweet kid, and we have been so blessed by him. Can't wait to see what the next month holds!

515 Days Old...November 3, 2012

Jeremy, Jackson and I spent the day at the Auburn Homecoming game, so Anderson had a spend-the-night at Nana's house and enjoyed hanging out with his cousin Luke on Saturday. Those two are a mess together!! What one kid has, the other kid wants!

Thanks Nana and Tata for watching our little man!

510 Days Old...October 29, 2012

I handed Jackson the camera this morning and told him to take a few pictures of Anderson. These were my favorite, especially the booty shot and the shot of Anderson looking like, "What is my silly brother doing?" Anderson is trying to roll over in the booty shot, and he tries his new trick every chance he gets!

Anderson adores Jackson, and these sweet pictures are such a simple reminder of how blessed I am by both of my boys. Life is good!

505 Days Old...October 24, 2012

Anderson was so happy to see that Daddy was home from his trip today! Jeremy has been gone since Monday night, and Anderson smiled from ear to ear when we got home from church and he saw Jeremy. He loves his Daddy!

He's had a cough for a few days so we are watching him close, but so far, I think he's doing fine. He thoroughly enjoyed eating Japanese hibachi tonight, and he went to bed with a belly full of yummy fried rice and veggies. I love this little man so much!! See y'all in 5 more days!

500 Days Old...October 19, 2012

Our little man enjoyed his 500th day of life with a trip to the park with Daddy and Jackson after school. He had such a good time being a big boy, and everything that Jackson did, Anderson gave it his best effort. His favorite thing? Going down the big boy slide with Jackson. I'm so blessed by these boys of mine, and I love watching them grow up together! See y'all in 5 more days!

495 Days Old...October 14, 2012

We got another smile! We spent today driving back from a great weekend in Starkville with Mimi, Adam, Cameron, Ben, Lacey and Papa and Gigi. We had such a good time. We stopped at the Pumpkin Patch in Clanton on the way home and Tata managed to get a smile out of Anderson waiting for the hayride. I love my little stinker!

490 Days Old...October 9, 2012

I finally got a smile out of this little stinker on camera. The secret? Twirl him around until you are about to get sick and then do a "self" snap with your free hand. He's 16 months old and I'm just now figuring this out!

16 Months Old

Anderson is now 16 months old and busy growing like a weed! He's still not talking at all, but like pictured above, he's very good at pointing to show you what he wants. I think he has a system figured out! I'm loving this age, because he is so sweet, and I can't get enough of my little man.

Anderson still loves bath time, playing with Jackson, and he's super good at eating any food. He loves "cookies" which are graham crackers and milk. We are so blessed by our baby boy, and I can't wait to see what the next month holds!

485 Days Old...October 4, 2012

This little monkey has been doing great the past few days. His ear is draining just a little bit, but he has been absolutely delightful with his sweet laughter and cute little personality shining through. He's back to eating better, he's not nearly as fussy, and he has been loved imitating whatever it is Jackson is into. All in all, not a bad 5 days!

P.S. He's way past due for a haircut, and we're getting him cleaned up this weekend in case  you were wondering if we've adopted the hippie look!

480 Days Old...September 29, 2012

Anderson got to enjoy a bouncy play house for the first time today! He loved it! He thought it was hilarious, especially when the big kids got to running around him. I, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck when the big kids were around. I was in there with him, but I much prefered it when he was the only child in the playhouse. He found a ball and had such a good time throwing it and trying to run after it. Not bad for a Saturday morning birthday party! It definitely kept him entertained, and he took a great nap after playing so hard all morning. See y'all in 5 more days!

475 Days Old…September 24, 2012

100_2658

Other than fighting an ear infection, the first since he got tubes, Anderson has had a pretty uneventful few days. He got diagnosed with the ear infection on Friday, and he also got his 15 month shots and his flu vaccine. He wasn’t happy about the shots, but after a few minutes he was good as new!

Anderson “roared” back at Jackson when they were at the park today with Nana, but the little stinker refuses to let me hear his new skills. Maybe soon!

Y’all take care, and we’ll be back in 5 days!

470 Days Old...September 19, 2012

Look at this cutie pie! Anderson was chilling out before church today. He loves being outside playing, and the weather was amazing. I couldn't capture a smile on camera, but the little kiddo was into everything outside! His new favorite game? Seeing how fast he can run away from us! He's such a cute little monkey! See y'all in 5 more days!

465 Days Old...September 14, 2012

Anderson has had a nasty fever virus for the past few days. He started getting sick on Wednesday, and after his ears and chest were clear, and a strep test was negative,  he was diagnosed with a fever virus. Today he woke up with a 104.9 fever and we headed back to the doctor. His white cell count was normal, so it looks like it is still just a fever virus. So frustrating! I don't want him to be sick, but spending the money on 2 copays in 2 days is a little frustrating to not have a diagnosis.

Fingers crossed that he's feeling better soon! See y'all in 5 more days!

460 Days Old...September 9, 2012

Anderson might not have gotten to go to Disney World with his big brother, but he loved his ride around the living room on Tata's back! Anderson had a great time staying with Nana and Tata, and then Papa and Gigi while we were at Disney. We missed him so much, but he had a great time with his grandparents. He was super excited to see us when we got home today, and I loved having my baby boy around to snuggle with again. We loved spending some one-on-one time with Jackson, but I can't wait to take both of my boys to Disney in a few years. I need to start saving now!

15 Months Old

Our sweet little man is quickly turning into such a big toddler! At 15 months old he's into everything! He climbs onto anything he can can, "runs" away from us when he doesn't want to do what we need done, and loves to try to open child proof cabinets. He's a little monkey for sure! We still don't have Anderson talking for us, but Dr. Diebel isn't concerned yet. She said that we will check it again at 18 months old. At 15 months, Anderson is weighing in at 22.9 pounds and is in the 25th percentile for weight and is 31 1/4 inches long and measuring in the 50th percentile for height. Thankfully he seems to be coming back onto the growth chart, because he was rather smallish at his year checkup.

Overall, Anderson seems to be doing really good, and we can't wait to see what else he gets into this month. Stay tuned!

455 Days Old…September 4, 2012

100_2188

Anderson has had a great few days. We’ve had him start taking Zyrtec every day and it has done wonders for his runny nose. He’s not ready to nap by 8 in the morning now, and his cough is much better. He’s going to be spending a few days with his Nana and Tata and then Papa and Gigi, and we know he’s going to love spending the one-on-one time with his grandparents without having to share his time with his big brother. We’ll see y’all in 5 more days!

450 Days Old…August 30, 2012

100_2185

This little stinker has been such a cutie pie lately. He’s always getting into stuff, and when he flashes his little pearly whites after he gets caught, there is no doubt gonna be a heart breaker! Anderson has been feeling so much better, and we’re crossing our fingers that we can make the transition into fallish weather soon with no problems with his cough and cold coming back.

We’re heading to Disney next week, and Anderson is going to get to enjoy some quality time with his grandparents. We’re gonna miss him so much, but I know he will have a blast being spoiled by all 4 of his grandparents.

See y’all in 5 more days!

445 Days Old...August 25, 2012

After being on antibiotcs since Monday, Anderson is back to his sunny self. It's amazing what some bubblegum medicine can do! Our little guy has been a mess the past few days, getting into everything. He's such a monkey trying to climb onto chairs and anything else that can help him reach higher. If he can get into stuff, he does! He's such a cute little stinker!

440 Days Old...August 20, 2012

Anderson had to see his big brother off to school today for his first day of 1st grade. Aren't the boys so handsome! Anderson has had a cold for the past few days, andhe's been a little fussy, so I took him to the doctor this afternoon. He has an upper respiratory infection and will be on antibiotics to clear him up.
Anderson hasn't been talking much lately, maybe because he's congested, but I spoke with the doctor today about my concerns. She thinks he's developing normally, just a little slow to speak, so I feel somewhat better about his lack of speech. It's obvious that he understands us, so we'll give him a little bit longer before we do anything like speech therapy.

See y'all in 5 more days!

435 Days Old...August 15, 2012

Seriously, Mom...I'm too busy texting to be bothered with taking another picture for my blog! Anderson is such a stinker when it comes to technology. He loves playing with our cell phones, remote controls and cordless phone. If he gets his hands on something that he shouldn't have, and we make the mistake of taking it from him, he pitches a fit. He's such a mess!!!

Anderson is getting so close to saying, "Mama." Right now he'll say "ma....ma" but he's not linking them together, or looking at me when he's doing it. Not that my feelings are hurt or anything, ahem...He's only got a few more weeks to start speaking or we're heading to speech therapy. I'm trying not to worry, but I am. He's so smart, just super stubborn!

See y'all in 5 more days!

430 Days Old...August 10, 2012

What's the best thing about having a big brother? Big boy toys to ride on! Our little stinker has been doing great the past few days. He's loved playing with Jackson, and there is no one in the world that can make that kiddo of ours laugh like Jackson can. He simply adores his brother!

We're in for a busy weekend around here; we are having Jackson's birthday party tomorrow, and I know that Anderson will thoroughly enjoy having some of Jackson's cake and ice cream. It should be lots of fun.

See y'all in 5 more days!

14 Months Old!

Our sweet "baby" boy is growing up! At 14 months old he is an absolute little stinker! He is walking like a champ and is fast as lighting. It's been a fun month around here; Anderson has figured out how to climb under the baby gate if you don't put it super close to the ground, and our little Houdini has escaped several times under the gate, laughing hysterically the whole time!

Anderson still isn't talking, with the exception of occasionally saying, "Bubba." He will say, "ba" for bath and "bye" if is feeling super cooperative. His comprehension level is amazing, and he follows most instructions, so we know he is "getting" what we are saying. He just doesn't want to talk. Anderson has moved up into the 1 year old class at church and daycare and is doing wonderful with the bigger kids. We're hoping that being around the older kids will encourage him to speak. If not, he's going back for his 15 month checkup next month and we will probably be referred to Early Intervention for speech therapy.

Anderson loves to play with Jackson's batman set, much to Jackson's chagrin! He loves any toy that makes a ton of noise, and playing peek-a-book is one of his favorite games. He can destroy a clean room in 5 seconds, and just melt your heart with his sweet smile. He is such a fun little kid, and we are so blessed by our little man.
