265 Days Old…February 27, 2012

Anderson is laughing hysterically right now as I’m typing this. Jeremy has got him cracking up at everything, and there is nothing in the world sweeter than a baby laughing!

Anderson is scheduled for tubes to be put in on Wednesday and I’m thinking it won’t be a day too soon. We think he may have another ear infection; he’s been fussy and cranky and pulling at his ear again. If he can hold off just one more day Dr. Knox will be able to work  his magic.

Anderson has been busy perfecting his crawling skills and he’s pulling up on everything! The only problem when he pulls up is that he doesn’t know how to sit back down. He just drools on whatever he is next to until you come rescue him! Speaking of drool, Anderson has been a drool monkey the past few weeks with his new tooth. It’s razor sharp and he’s (literally) been cutting his teeth on whatever he can get into his mouth. That’s all well and good until he crawls over to one of my shoes!

I guess that’s all for today. We’ll be back in 5 more days!

260 Days Old...February 22, 2012

Jeremy was nice enough to keep up the 5 day pictures for me while I'm gone by sending me this picture of sweet Anderson. If you ever sneeze, or even pretend to sneeze, Anderson cracks up laughing. That's where the smile came from in this pic. Anderson's doing good, and tube surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday. Fingers crossed that he can stay ear infection free until then.

And big news: Anderson has a tooth! He cut his first tooth on February 20th. It's one of his bottom teeth and so far other than being a little cranky it doesn't seem like it has bothered him that much.

That's all for today. We'll be back in 5 more days!

255 Days Old…February 17, 2012

Anderson had his appointment with the ENT and we’re scheduled for surgery for tubes on February 29th. The doctor said with his history that he’s a perfect candidate. He doesn’t have an ear infection right now but he does have fluid behind his ear and air bubbles in his ear. No wonder he’s not babbling! Other than that, all is well in our world. Anderson is finally sleeping until 5 in the morning and we’re so happy about that! If we can hold off until the 29th with no more ear infections I’ll be a happy camper!

We’ll be back in 5 more days!

250 Days Old…February 12, 2012

Little man is doing great right now! He’s back to his normal bottle and food routine and he’s been doing tons of laughing, especially at Jackson. We’ve made an appointment for Friday with the ENT to beg for tubes for him. He’s been on antibiotics almost constantly since Christmas and I’m certain that tubes are the only way we will get any relief from his constant ear infections. At this point I’m sure it’s affecting his hearing; he isn’t babbling much at all, and he’s very quiet. Some of that could be from having a big brother who talks  non stop, but at any rate I think he should be babbling more than he is. I’m confident that our ENT will agree with us and hopefully within the next few weeks we will have Anderson scheduled for surgery.

I guess that’s it for today. I’ll be back in 5 more days!

245 Days Old (8 Months Already!) February 7, 2012

100_0248100_0259100_0256100_0249                                             It was a hoot trying to take Anderson’s 8 month candid shots tonight; the kiddo was all over the place and definitely was not interested in taking the time to be bothered with some pesky photo shoot! I got more pictures of the back of his head than anything else!

At 8 months old Anderson is still able to wear some size 6 month clothes, but he’s mostly wearing 9 month clothes, and he’s still holding strong in size 3 diapers and weighing 19 pounds. He’s eating about 4-5 jars of baby food a day and we’re finally back up to 6 ounce bottles after his illness.

Anderson is a busy boy! He’s all over the place crawling, pulling up and scooting around. Nothing is safe anymore! We had to lower his bed because of him pulling up and he is loving his new found freedom.

Anderson had to go back to the doctor today for his ears and he still has an ear infection. He was given another Rocephin shot and put on yet another antibiotic. We’re going to call the ENT tomorrow and set up an appointment to discuss getting tubes. Sweet Anderson needs some relief soon for his ears and I hope our ENT will be willing to help him out.

That’s it for today. We’ll be back in 5 more days!

240 Days Old…February 2, 2012

We have a smile!! Anderson isn’t quite back to normal, but he’s feeling much better. We’re still dealing with a cough and congestion, but we’re doing much better than he was a week ago today when he got admitted to the hospital. Right now Anderson is still only taking 4 ounces every 4 hours, but I’m hoping he’ll be back to his regular routine in a few days. For right now we’re just taking it one day at a time and we are so happy to be seeing smiles again! Enjoy the pic!
