85 Days Old…August 31, 2011

It’s hard to believe that we are about to be in September and that Anderson is almost 3 months old! This year is flying by! Anderson is doing great as usual. I got to daycare the other day and his teacher told  me, “I’m so glad he’s such a good baby! He’s always so happy and laid back!” It made me so happy to hear that!

Anderson is still waking up around 4-5 in the morning, and we are pretty tired at this point. I try to count my blessings that he is sleeping from 9 at night until 5 in the morning, but it is pretty exhausting to not remember the last time you slept past 5 in the morning. I know these days will be over soon, so until then Jeremy and I will just take turns getting up at 5!

Anderson is wearing size 2 diapers, and clothes that are 3-6 months. He’s getting to be such a big boy! At his last bottle tonight he took 6 ounces for the first time and kept it down! I’m hoping that keeping his tummy full will help him sleep a little later tomorrow morning.

80 Days Old…August 26, 2011

It seems as though Anderson’s new favorite time to wake up is 4:00 in the morning. Loads of fun, I tell ya! He goes back to sleep after taking his bottle, but once I’m up, my mind kicks into overdrive and there is no way I can go back to sleep. He’s woken up at 4:00 every day this week, and Jeremy and I are pretty tired! I’m glad he’s not waking up more than that, but it doesn’t make it any easier trying to function. Oh well, these days are numbered!

Anderson is thisclose to rolling over! He’s such a wiggle worm right now! He loves to talk to us, and he’s starting to really get the hang of laughing at us. It’s so much fun!

And Anderson has decided that is hand is the most fun toy ever! Forget the paci…Anderson prefers to suck on his entire fist! At least it’s one toy that goes everywhere with us! Y’all have a great day!

75 Days Old…August 21, 2011

It’s so hard to believe that Anderson is already 2 1/2 months old. The sweet little guy has been such a blessing to our family. Night before last he treated us to sleeping through the night and we were thrilled. He didn’t give us a repeat performance last night, but I know it won’t be long before he’s sleeping every night, so we’re not too stressed about it.

A is still taking 5 ounces every 4 hours, and he’s really starting to talk to us and he’s really into sharing his sweet smiles now. He’s not much of a fan of tummy time, but he has incredible neck strength, so I’m not too worried about it.

We took his picture tonight during bath time which is his favorite thing to do. If he gets even the slightest bit fussy, as soon as he hears the bath water running he calms down. He just loves bath time, especially when Jackson is in there to entertain him. That’s about it for today. Enjoy the picture!

Guess Who Slept All Night!!!

We’ve had such a busy week around here that we’ve just been exhausted. When I picked Anderson up at daycare Friday afternoon I said, “If you sleep through the night tonight I’ll buy you a pony.” I guess Anderson is already interested in making deals because the little guy slept from 9:30 Friday night until 5:30 Saturday morning!

Any suggestions on what we should name the pony?!?

70 Days Old…August 16, 2011

Today is the day that Anderson’s big brother, Jackson, started kindergarten. I wanted him to feel a part of the fun of the day, so I made sure to get a picture of A with his big brother! Jackson was so excited about school, but he made sure to give Anderson lots of hugs and kisses this morning!

Anderson is still on the same schedule, taking a 5 ounce bottle every 4 hours like clockwork. He gave me tons of sweet smiles and giggles yesterday afternoon which I adored! He’s so cute, and his teacher told me at school, “He’s the best behaved baby I’ve got in here!” I’m a proud (and very lucky) Mama! See y’all in 5 days for more pics!

65 Days Old…August 11, 2011

It’s picture time again! Today almost slipped up on me, but I remembered at the last minute. We’re getting lots more smiles from the little guy, and a few sweet laughs every now and then. He’s still as laid back as ever, and he even slept from 9:30 last night until 4:00 this morning. We were thrilled!

I guess that’s it for today. I’ll be back in 5 more days!

2 Months Old!!

Anderson is two months old today! I’m sitting here amazed that time has flown by so quickly. At two months old Anderson has already developed such a sweet personality. He’s very serious and quiet for the most part, but always so easy going and laid back.  He is, hands down, the easiest baby I’ve ever met.  He had been slow to show us the smiles, with them being few and far between, but just the past few days he’s really starting to smile at us. No surprise, but his smiles look just like Jackson’s! He’s taking 5 ounces of formula every 4 hours, and he’s almost ready to move into stage 2 diapers. He has his checkup tomorrow, so I will post stats then. Until tomorrow, enjoy his 2 month pics!

Update: I just left the doctor with Anderson for his 2 month check up. He's now 12 pounds and 10 ounces (75%), and 23 1/4 inches long (55%). Dr. D was super pleased with his growth and she says he's doing wonderful! The little guy got 2 shots today and wasn't happy at all about that. We go back in 2 months for his next check up!

60 Days Old…August 6, 2011

Our little guy will be 2 months old tomorrow. Where has time gone? He is doing so great, and he is still such an amazingly easy baby! Anderson is now taking 5 ounce bottles every 4 hours, and for the most part, he’s holding it all down! He’s sleeping from about 9:45 at night until about 3:30 in the morning most nights, and waking up again around 6:00. He’ just like an alarm clock!

Today was Anderson’s first time going in the swimming pool and he loved it! What’s not to love? Right now the pool feels like taking a bath! We didn’t stay out for long because of the mosquitos, but it was a good first experience!

Anderson did so good at his first week at daycare. He stayed on his schedule perfectly, and his teacher, Mrs. Carol, says that he is such a sweet, laid back baby. It’s good to know that he’s just as good at school as he is at home.

Right now Anderson is napping on my chest and I’m so enjoying my cuddle time with him. I’ll post pictures tomorrow for his big 2 month birthday. Good night!

55 Days Old…August 1, 2011

Today was Anderson’s first day of daycare. I was a wreck leaving him this morning. I love his school, and adore the staff there, but it was HARD to leave him today. I did up a “All About Anderson” sheet for his teachers last night and even that got me crying. For 55 days I have cared for him day and night, and to know that someone else would be looking after him was very difficult. As hard as it was, A did wonderful! He stayed on his schedule perfectly, slept well, and was just as laid back and relaxed as his is when he is at home. I was so happy to hear that he had such a good day.

A is still taking 4 oz. every 3 hours during the day and we’ve managed a 5 1/2 stretch at night. I’m guessing he’s somewhere around 12-13 pounds now, and we take him back to the doctor for his 2 month check up on Monday. That’s all for today. Enjoy the pics!
